A little while ago I opened my new Nintendo Power magazine. As I was flipping through, I discovered that guy named Nicolas Menard had made a Mega Man 9 stop-motion animation video. I was amazed by it, and I knew that I wanted to try something involving stop-motion animation.
After doing some thinking, I knew that Super Mario Bros. World 1-1 would be perfect for this type of thing. So that night, I found the sprites and started cutting. After 5 solid hours of work, I finished cutting everything that I needed. The next day I set up my tripod and started taking pictures. That took about 3 hours to do. Lastly, I edited it all into a video.
I was very pleased with the end result. It may not be the perfect stop-motion animation, but at least I can say I committed my time and came out with a decent result. I can easily say that I found a new hobby, and you should expect to see more from me in the near future.
